Acache version 1.1 by Harm Jetten is a disk cache program for the Atari ST that keeps 16 floppy disk sectors in memory. Only drive A: is cached. Acache is write-through; all disk write requests are immediately written to the floppy. In order to keep the number of cached sectors low and memory requirements reasonable, only requests for ONE sector are cached. This results in caching FAT sectors, root directory, subdirectories and small files, and prevents the cache being flushed after e.g. loading a large program.
