The concluding epic in this excellent series which takes a humorous look at history. Emphasis is put on the great Elizabeth I of England - her foibles, her nobility and oddities of political manoeuvring. There then follows the union of Scotland and England and the part played by the various Churches involved. A summary gleefully ends with a discourse on the Long and Short Parliaments and the attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament, which were well established by this time, in the reign of Charles I.
