The Masters are members of a super technology society that has lost the technical knowledge. They can only operate machines, but not develop them. Because of their long life many have developed bad character traits. e.g. arrogance, greed for power etc. Because of various civil wars the Master left the country in a hurry. The game is about the player being torn out of life and waking up naked with a backpack. What to do? Very simple. Collect crystals, but only memory crystals.
