Text editor, extremely powerful and fast, for high and medium resolution on the ST and the highest TT resolution (1280 x 960 pixels). In addition to normal features, it offers numerous special functions. The programme allows columns to be processed in ASCII mode, and even column-by-column copying is possible. Suitable as an editor for source code and also as a word processor. Before printing, you can view the text on the screen in Page Preview mode. Instead of the system font, any STAD font can be used for text display. With graphics integration, images can also be viewed on the screen (when scrolling). ED can calculate in text and in the programme, whereby a formula can be entered instead of a number (e.g. jump to line 617 + 69). Furthermore: semi-automatic numbering of chapters, outline mode and sorting of text (e.g. for list management). For data exchange, ED reads and writes texts in ASCII and 1st Wordplus format. The programme is controlled via keyboard and is largely compatible with the keyboard layout of WordStar and Turbo Pascal. A complete Greek and Hebrew character set is integrated; the writing direction can be inverted. All characters can be printed (on a 24-pin printer). The documentation includes a 180 KByte ASCII file that describes the functions on more than 50 pages.
