Synthesizer for all STs and especially STEs. For the quality of the songs recorded and played with SMS the music of the game OXYD is a good example. Despite the good quality, the memory requirements are low; the enclosed demo stores over 5 minutes of music in less than 150 KB. Prerequisite for using SMS is a hardware sequencer (e.g. sometimes built into more sophisticated keyboards) or an additional computer running a sequencer program. But you only need the second device to record the music. You can easily use the recorded music in your own (C- and GfA-Basic) programs with a module available from the author. SMS supports six independent sound channels, on which 8-bit samples with a sampling frequency of 20 KHz can be played and offers about 40 ready-made samples. A sample editor allows you to modify and import your own samples.
