The background story to this one is a mini-novel in its own right! To sum it up, it is set in the third millenium and Yikosaka are an interplanetary trading company. They have discovered LV- 217, a planet rich in mineral resources and "real" water. In an attempt to protect their find, Yikosaka install a Space Station above LV-217. However, news leaks out and others from across the galaxy, known as freeminers, decide to cash in on the planet's mineral resources. They sneak in undetected, grab what they can and leave. Your task is to destroy them. You start off with a basic spacecraft and earn credits for each freeminer destroyed. Credits are collected when you dock with the Space Station and may be used to repair or enhance your ship. You can build up quite a powerful craft with a bit of practice, this in turn is more efficient and will earn you more cash. Apart from the trading element, Subaqua is basically a fast action shoot 'em up. It resembles David Braben's "Virus" to a certain extent and is entirely mouse controlled.
