GEMS is an unauthorised conversion of Diamonds, a game for the Atari 8-bit, which was written by Simon Hunt. The aim of the game is to clear each screen of all the gems it contains, while avoiding the bad guys. When you collect a cluster of gems, the number of gems is added to the HOLD value at the top of the screen, and also to your score. If you go to the top of the screen holding some gems then the screen will flash and you will get double points for those gems.
