STiK2 is the actual successor to STiK1. Many years ago when there was a falling out with Peter Rottengatter and others on the development list over what the future of the project should be. Peter went his own route with STiNG. STiK2 is not really a new API for our stack. It is compatible with STiK1 level of the API (GlueSTiK,STinG,STiK1) and has some advancements.
